25th Anniversary Gala 1984-2009
Abracadabra, Store To Door's first-ever gala was held on May 1, 2009 at the Metropolitan in Golden Valley to celebrate 25 years of service to the community. Attended by long-time volunteers and supporters as well as dozens of guests who'd not known of Store To Door till that evening, the event acknowledged the need and support for our grocery shopping and delivery service. A rich and varied assortment of silent and live auction items resulted in generous responses from attendees. Magician Matt Dunn circulated among our guests, making the occasional shrimp skewer disappear and then, reappear!
The outpouring of joy and support shown by everyone to Store To Door throughout the evening was matched by the gratitude shown for the generosity of all attendees. In particular, the all-volunteer gala committee received high praise; they orchestrated and presented a very memorable and successful celebration, soliciting important sponsors and generating excitement from everyone involved.
