Enjoy shopping? Help an elderly homebound person maintain their independence while you get great exercise. Grocery shop for 2-4 hours twice per month or on a weekly basis. Choose the day of the week (Tuesday thru Friday) and a Cub Foods store location (Bloomington, Crystal, Maplewood, St. Anthony or St. Paul) which works best for you. We meet between 6am-10am; and can adjust to fit your schedule, when needed. Six month time commitment required; we can accommodate snowbird, summerbird, vacation, and other events. View the full volunteer shopper position description and contact us to register for orientation.
Initial orientations are held at our St. Paul office followed by a two-hour in-store training at the store where you will be volunteering. Let us know if you can join us for an initial orientation on one of the following dates:
| Wednesday, August 4, 2010 | 8:00 - 9:30am |
| Tuesday, August 24, 2010 | 8:30 - 10:00am |
| Wednesday, September 15, 2010 | 8:30 - 10:00am |
| Thursday, October 21, 2010 | 8:30 - 10:00am |
Help elderly homebound people maintain their independence. Take grocery orders over the phone and log the items on your home computer or laptop. Choose a time which is convenient for you (daytime, evening or weekend). You will be matched with customers with the same time availability. You'll call the customer every other week at the same time to take their grocery order using our online-internet system. Work with four or more customers; orders usually take 30 minutes each. One year time commitment required; we can accommodate snowbird, summerbird, vacation, and other schedule variations. View the full volunteer order taker description and contact us to register for training.
Attend training at a computer lab in St Paul to learn about our online ordering system and then a two-hour in-store training at the location of your choice. Let us know if you can join us for training on one of the following dates:
| Tuesday, August 10, 2010 | 6:00pm - 8:30pm |
| Tuesday, September 7, 2010 | 6:00pm - 8:30pm |
| Tuesday, October 5, 2010 | 6:00pm - 8:30pm |
