Supporters

Store to Door® is always seeking additional clients, volunteers and funders. You can help us help others in any or all of these roles.

Say “YES” to Store to Door®

All Store to Door® grocery and prescription deliveries are subsidized. While approximately half of our clients pay a sliding scale fee for delivery, the cost of supporting the ordering, shopping for and delivery of over 17,000 orders a year is greater than the earned income generated. Over the past 23 years, many community resources have stepped up to fund the operation, including:

  • Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging/ State of Minnesota Department of Human Services
  • Local, regional and national Foundations and Corporations
  • County waiver services
  • Individuals. Individuals like you. Women and men concerned about our elderly family members, neighbors, church members and friends.

Major Campaigns

Your gift helps those who need it most — those who are struggling to remain living independently surrounded by their own belongings and memories. Twice a year Store to Door® directly asks clients, volunteers, friends and community supporters for financial support. We seek this support during our May Campaign (Older Americans Month) and again during our Year-End Campaign.

Individual contributions help in these ways:

  • $50 helps pay for two months of subsidized deliveries to an individual
  • $100 provides fuel for 90 deliveries over the course of two weeks
  • $250 funds recruiting and training one Volunteer Order Taker and two Volunteer Shoppers
  • $500 allows Store to Door® to maintain its fleet of seven delivery vans

And, to aid Store to Door® in building individual donor support, we receive matching grants awarded by various foundations. This means all new or increased donations are matched – doubling your gift!

Financial donations are matched several times over by the extremely generous gift of time. 487 individual and group volunteers donated over 32,000 hours this past year alone!
