Executive Director Mary Jo SchifskyMary Jo Schifsky, Executive Director
Since 2006 Mary Jo has had overall responsibility for leadership and planning at Store To Door. With the support of the board she has confirmed the organization’s mission and vision and clarified the values — compassion, respect, integrity and accountability — that ground Store To Door’s work providing elderly adults personal, reliable access to their choice of food so they can remain in their own homes. Committed to collaboration, she’s helped to increase community support for Store To Door, to establish a strong and capable team of paid and volunteer staff members, and to expand geographies served.

Prior to joining Store To Door, Mary Jo founded the consulting firm Aging Choices, advising adult children and their aging parents on finance, medical, social and housing issues for seniors.  She holds an Advocacy Leadership for Vital Aging Certificate from the University of Minnesota.

In addition, Mary Jo has more than 25 years of leadership experience with Minnegasco, Target and the Hazelden Foundation. For 10 years she owned and operated Pickle Product, a children’s gift and stationery manufacturing company.
