Meet the Staff

Karen joined Store To Door in October 2015. She has overall responsibility for leadership of the organization’s work providing elderly adults with personal, reliable access to their choice of food so they can remain in their own homes.

Karen came to Store to Door with more than 25 years of nonprofit management, leadership and development experience. Previously, she founded and served as executive director of Seeing Hands, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with vision loss. In addition, she served as a management consultant for Twin Cities area nonprofits and operational manager for The Minneapolis Foundation.

Earlier in her career, Cotch worked as director of administration at Columbia University Community Services, aiding homeless individuals and families in New York City. She earned her master’s degree in public health administration from University of South Carolina and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Buffalo.  Email Karen at

Teckla Johnson, Senior Services Director Teckla Johnson, Senior Services Director
Teckla joined Store To Door in April 2016.  She has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than a decade.  Prior to joining Store To Door she worked for Lifeworks Services, Inc., managing day programs that served adults who had developmental disabilities.  Teckla attended Humboldt State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.  She later earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Minnesota. Email Teckla at

Carolyn Swenson,  Volunteer Program SupervisorCarolyn Swenson
Carolyn joined the Store to Door team in February 2013. She has more than 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, focusing on programs and volunteer management. She recruited volunteers 55 and older to meet a variety of vital community needs when she worked for the RSVP program of Volunteers of America Minnesota. Carolyn also worked many years for Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly, serving as Volunteer Director for her final two years. She is currently active in the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration and serves on the Professional Development committee. Carolyn holds a B.A. in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College. Email Carolyn at

Nancy Danielson, Finance Director
Nancy joined Store to Door in March, 2016. Nancy has more than 30 years of experience in finance/accounting positions with both public and private companies and has held leadership positions in several companies including The Nerdery, Digital River and Best Buy. Nancy graduated from Iowa State University, has several undergraduate credits from the University of Minnesota in Accounting and Finance, passed the CPA exam and received her MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota.
